Permatex High-Strength Threadlocker Red is ideal for heavy-duty applications 3/8" to 1" (10mm to 25mm) Red threadlocker is well-suited for permanently locking studs and press fits. Threadlocker RED adds 3,000 PSI holding power on slip and press fit assemblies, and replaces set screws and snap rings. Permatex’s Threadlocker Red locks against vibration loosening. May require heat or special tools for removal.

Suggested Applications

Cylinder block and rocker arm studs, ring gear bolts, frame bolts, and shock absorber bolts.

Instructions
Directions
  • Clean and dry parts using Permatex Surface Prep activator, Item# 24163
  • Shake tube of High Strength Threadlocker well before each use
  • Remove cap and snip nozzle tip
  • Apply to threaded areas and assemble parts. Refer to Technical Data Sheet for complete information
Note

Threadlocker works on metal parts. It is not recommended for plastics. Cured product must be heated
to 500°F (260°C) before parts will separate.
