Instructions

Measure flue size. Take inside measurement. Select brush size. Measure the chimney carefully before selecting a brush. An oversized brush will become lodged in the chimney; an undersized brush will not clean effectively. Choose a cleaning method. The best way to clean is with the Flexible Rod method.

Cleaning Methods
  • Flexible Rod Method - Insert brush top down through chimney, bottom up through fireplace damper or cleanout door
  • Dual Line Method - Requires one person on roof, one below. Lines are attached to both ends of the brush. Brush is pulled back
  • Line And Weight Method - Employed when chimney openings are restricted. Weight is attached to loop
  • Note: Not to be used on Pre-Fab chimneys.
