A Grand Opening for Grange Co-op
We always hoped for a warm welcome in Redding, but WOW did y’all exceed all expectations! Over 4,000 people joined us for our Grand Opening weekend, kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by several wonderful guests, including the Redding Chamber of Commerce, Shasta Lake Chamber of Commerce, Shasta County CattleWomen, Shasta College, Redding Rodeo, Purina, Vitakraft, and many more. We’re honored by your support!
Our CEO Neil Itzen said it best: "We are thrilled to bring Grange Co-op to Redding, California ... The community has consistently expressed a strong interest in having us here, and we’re proud to finally open our doors. Redding feels like home.
Oregon FFA State Officers On The Road
Grange Co-op and Oregon FFA have a long and valued partnership, and we were proud to host the Oregon FFA Executive Committee, the Oregon FFA Association Board of Directors, and the team of youth State Officers and representatives from several districts. While the Board worked on their plans for the upcoming year, students developed the networking and lobbying skills they’ll be using while touring across the state of Oregon and beyond. Congratulations to this new cadre of outstanding youth, and have a safe journey as you continue to represent Oregon FFA!
Cultivating the Next Generation
We are proud to sponsor this 3rd annual professional development opportunity for local educators, Cultivating the Next GEN, hosted by the Jackson County Cattle Women’s Association. Several local agricultural producers engaged with teachers over three days, sharing aspects of their often-specialized fields to increase the knowledge base of K-12 educators in Jackson County and beyond. Guests from Rusted Gate Farm, White Ranch Angus, Vogel Diary, Noble Dairy, and Crater FFA spoke on a Producer Panel, and we thank them for their hard work and their shared stories.
Cheers to Lemonade Day
The idea of kids learning essential life skills has expanded into a national program supporting youth entrepreneurship and economic development, with local community members and businesses sponsoring and hosting stands across their cities. Grants Pass had a whopping 78 stands across the county. Our store was proud to host The Sweet Life kids, who brought a delightfully expanded stock of baked goods and honey sticks too! Congrats to these young folks and best of luck with their future business endeavors!
