That's a Wrap on Fair!

The 2024 Fair Season has wrapped up, and Grange Co-op wants to congratulate all the Junior Livestock Auction participants for their hard work—not just in the ring and the days and weeks leading up to the fair, but also for the months and months they labored to raise their animals to the best of their abilities.

Grange Co-op has contributed over $160,000 to the purchase of students' projects. Across all the counties and districts we serve, junior livestock auctions start as early as May and go all the way to September. It's truly a team effort on behalf of our proud management teams and their associates, who take the time not only to attend these auctions but also to engage with students about their project animals. We love hearing about their triumphs and struggles, how they plan to improve in the future, and what they enjoy most about their experience with livestock rearing. Many youth raise multiple animals and still find the time to participate in auction help, mechanic projects, athletics, and more. We are so proud of each generation of agriculturists and the independence, leadership, and service ideals they embody!

In recognition of that hard work, Grange Co-op offers a free GrangeRewards membership exclusively for youth actively raising livestock animals or engaged in equine and agriculture projects. This membership grants them discounts on several Rogue feeds, branded show feed, tack supplies, and more! Youth planning to participate in a 4-H, FFA, equine program, or independent youth agriculture club/chapter should inquire about this free membership the next time they are in-store, and previous membership holders need to renew annually.

Wildfire Relief

If the lead-up to the fair wasn't difficult enough, several counties have been struggling with another challenging fire season. The Shelly Fire forced many folks and their animals out of their homes and ranches, and the Siskiyou Golden Fairgrounds stepped up to host as many four-legged friends as it could. Grange Co-op was able to send several pallets of supplies, including hay, bedding, and feed for cats, dogs, horses, and more. Thanks to the efforts of our firefighters, first responders, and the tireless work of the fairgrounds and volunteers, many animals have found their way back home, and the fairgrounds were once again able to host the fantastic Siskiyou Golden Fair.
